【1.英語の聞き流し（リスニング練習）として】
画面の英語は見ずに、聞き流してリスニングの勉強に使えます。
英語の聞き流しには１つの音声をじっくり聴く
「精聴」という勉強法と沢山の音声を聞く
「多聴」の２つの勉強法があります。

「精聴」で取り組む場合は画面の英語フレーズと
照らし合わせながらのリスニングがオススメです。
「多聴」で取り組む場合は英語フレーズは見ずに
まずは英語を聞き流します。

そして聞き流しの最後に英語フレーズと照らし合わせて
理解を高める勉強法がオススメです。
※英語力に自信がない方は「精聴」から取り組み、
英単語や英文法を確認しながらの学習がオススメです。

【2.英語のスピーキング練習として】
画面の英語フレーズと一緒に声に出して
スピーキングの練習に使えます。
まずは英語音声の発音をなぞるように
声に出してみましょう。
知らない英文法や単語は後から
振り返りをすると英語学習の効率が高まります。

ネイティブが日常会話で使う英語を中心に

【英会話フレーズを学習するメリット】
英語の勉強といったら英単語や英文法を
取り組むものという印象があるかもしれません。
実際英語学習において基本となるのが
文法や英単語の学習ですが、
英語フレーズを学ぶメリットも大きいです。

まず１つが咄嗟のシーンで使える
英語が増えるという点です。
普段英単語や英文法を勉強していても、
「咄嗟の時に英語が出てこない…」
という事があります。
それはその場で英作文をする必要があり、
その訓練は英単語や英文法の
学習だけでは不十分だから。

ですが英語フレーズを日常的に学習することで
その場で英作文をする必要がなく、
スラスラ英語が話しやすくなります。

２つ目が、ネイティブが使う表現を
フレーズとして学べるという点です。
実は文法的に正しくてもネイティブが
使わない表現も数多く存在します。
つまり文法や単語に問題はないけど
不自然な英語になる場合がある、という事です。

ですがフレーズとして学ぶことによって
ネイティブが日常的に使う表現が学べ、
英語でのコニュニケーションの幅がグッと広がります。

そして３つ目がリスニング力の向上につながる点です。
英語のフレーズはいわば決まり文句に近いので、
そのフレーズが話せる＝そのフレーズが
聞き取れる状態になります。
聞き取れる英語が増えれば英語の
リスニング力も向上するのも頷けます。

【日常会話で使う基本の英語フレーズ】
英語フレーズは日常的に
使われる頻度が高いものから
学習するのがオススメです。
そこでネイティブがよく
使う直ぐに使える表現をご紹介します。

・挨拶の英語フレーズ
How are you?
調子はどうですか
I’m good, how are you?
良いですよ。あなたは？

How are you? はネイティブが日常会話でよく使う
基本的な挨拶です。
I’m good, how are you? と相手に
聞き返すのがポイントです。

・お別れの英語フレーズ
It was nice talking with you.
お話しできてよかったです

You, too.
こちらこそ
「It was nice talking with you.」は
会話を切り上げたい時に便利なフレーズです。
答え方は「You, too.」と答えます。

・相づちの英語フレーズ
Really
本当に。

I know.
わかる。

Sounds good
いいですね。

日本語でも会話中に「本当？」「わかる！」と
相づちしますがそれは英語でも同じです。
基本的な相づちから使ってみましょう。

・仕事の英語フレーズ
What do you do?
仕事は何してるんですか？

I work for a bank.
銀行で働いています。

I work in the accounting department.
経理で働いてます。

I’m a teacher.
教師をしています。

I work part-time.
バイトしてます。

仕事の答え方はI’m a 〇〇や
I work for 〇〇I work in 〇〇で
簡単に答えることができます。
基本的なフレーズなので
このまま使ってみてください。

【アメリカ英語vsイギリス英語】
日本人が学習する英語はアメリカ英語なので
「英語＝アメリカ英語」をイメージする人も多いですが、
「イギリス英語この本場の英語」という人もいます。

日本人からするとアメリカ英語と
イギリス英語の違いが
分かりづらいかもしれませんが
、発音から日常会話で使われる
フレーズまで結構違います。

イギリスでは使われる英語フレーズも
アメリカでは使われない場合や、
その逆のケースも。

なのでネイティブ同士でも発音や
フレーズが違うため英語が通じない…
ということがあります。
英語にも色んな種類があると思うと
英語学習も少し楽しくなります。

【自己紹介About Yumi】
英会話に通っていたにも関わらず、This is a penで英語につまずく。

小さい頃は特に帰国子女に憧れていて、
「英語ができるようになりたい」と思っていましたが、
初めての英語の授業で聞いたリスニングのネイティブ英語が
全く聞き取れないなど英語が大の苦手でした。

英会話に通っていたので周りからは発音は良さそうと思われていましたが、
実際はカタカナ英語での発音しかできませんでした。

そこから勉強法を工夫していくうちに英語ができるようになり、
英語も徐々に聞き取れるように。

しかし試験の英語はできても「英語が喋れる」訳ではなかった為、
スピーキング練習や発音の練習にも取り組み、
大学時代はワーキングホリデーでカナダに留学。

留学３ヶ月目に日本の英検準１級レベルに当たるケンブリッジ英検FCEを獲得。
（日本ではケンブリッジ英検はTOIECやTOEFLほど有名ではありませんが、
実は世界的には最も広く使われる英語試験の１つで、
企業や大学で英語力の証明として使われています。）

このような自身の経験を元に、
主に初心者の英語学習者の方や英語をやり直したいという方に向けた、
英語力を高めるため勉強法などを発信しています。

English Conversation With My Daughter | Learn Daily Use English Sentences | इंग्लिश कैसे सुधारें? In this english conversation practice video i have used many daily used english sentences and explained the structure and grammar of each sentence, so watch this english lesson till the end and learn daily use english sentences which you can use in your daily conversation and can make your communication more impressive.

In this conversation, various parts of grammar are used:
Interrogative sentences: "Why do you watch TV until so late?" "What is the point of watching this?" "What will you take for lunch tomorrow?" "Which one of these is unhealthy?" These sentences are used to ask questions.

Imperative sentences: "Mehreen, turn off the TV right away." "Try to sleep early." "Don't cook anything for me, just buy me a Frooti and some chips." "Put some common sense." These sentences give commands or instructions.

Simple present tense: "I always get ready on time." "He plays all day long, and in the morning, he remembers to do his homework." These sentences use the simple present tense to describe habitual actions and general truths.

Present continuous tense: "Why do you watch TV until so late?" "You can watch the remaining part of this serial on YouTube after returning from school." These sentences use the present continuous tense to talk about actions happening at the moment or in the near future.

Future tense: "Just this last show, then we’ll turn off the TV." "What will you take for lunch tomorrow?" These sentences use the future tense to talk about actions that will happen later. Modal verbs: "Just don’t eat too much junk food." "You can watch the remaining part of this serial on YouTube." Modal verbs like "can" and "will" are used to express ability and possibility.

Possessive pronouns: "It is your beloved son who makes us late every day." The word "your" is a possessive pronoun, showing ownership. Conjunctions: Conjunctions like "and," "but," "or," "so," and "then" are used to connect different parts of the sentences and link ideas together.

Adverbs: "Until," "already," "right away," "always," "just," "all day long," "at least," "tomorrow," "too much," "only," "later," "really," "still," etc., are adverbs that provide additional information about the verbs, time, frequency, or manner of the action.

Noun phrases: "This last show," "so late," "the clock," "the TV," "the remaining part of this serial," "common sense," "Frooti and some chips," etc., are examples of noun phrases that consist of a noun and its modifiers. Relative clause: "It is your beloved son who makes us late every day." The relative clause "who makes us late every day" provides additional information about "your beloved son.

"Overall, the conversation uses a mix of different grammar elements to convey meaning, ask questions, give instructions, and express thoughts and opinions. It covers a range of tenses, adverbs, conjunctions, and other parts of speech to create coherent and meaningful sentences.

TOEFL Listening - 5 Top Tips for Note Taking

I tell you my 5 top tips for note taking in TOEFL Listening. Taking notes in TOEFL Listening is hard because you need to take notes while listening and you do not have much time. Therefore, you must take notes in a way that does not cost you much time and that boosts your TOEFL Listening score. I show you the 5 things I did when taking notes in TOEFL Listening which helped me get a high score. Use these tips and boost your TOEFL score!

The examples I use in the video and in the illustration are made up by me.

1) Do not write down everything
Do not write down everything you listen to. If you do that, you most likely will not be able to focus on what the speaker says because you are so focused on writing everything down. This will lower your TOEFL Listening score. In fact, it is not necessary to take notes of everything because you will not be asked everything in the questions. You will be asked the important things which means that it is sufficient to take notes of these. So the question is: What are the important things? This brings us directly to the second tip.

2) Anticipate the questions
You must know the question types that can appear in TOEFL Listening so that you can anticipate them when taking notes. If you know the types of questions you will be asked this makes it a lot easier for you because you know exactly what you need to listen for and what you need to write down. This will prevent you from taking notes that you do not need. This means that note taking will be less stressful and that you will be taking the right notes that get you a high TOEFL Listening score.

3) Do not copy the speaker
Guys, it is tempting to write down the exact words the speaker uses. However, I do not recommend it. The problem is that you may end up trying to remember the exact words the speaker used in the listening task. What happens then is that you lose focus and do not listen actively anymore because you are so focused on remembering the words. This also means that you will lose valuable time. Therefore, use your own words. It is not necessary to know which words the speaker used when answering the questions in TOEFL Listening. The questions will ask you about the speaker’s idea, so it is totally sufficient if you take notes of the idea that the speaker talks about.

4) Listen for self-correction
In TOEFL Listening it often happens that the speaker says something and then corrects himself immediately afterwards. If you listen to self-correction, it is very likely that you will be asked a question about that. The examiner uses these self-corrections because he wants to check whether you see that the speaker corrected himself. Therefore, make sure that you listen actively for these self-corrections and that you take notes of what the speaker actually wanted to say. This is your chance to improve your TOEFL Listening score!

5) Use abbreviations and symbols
When you are taking notes in TOEFL Listening use abbreviations and symbols. This saves you a lot of time. For example, use arrows to indicate that something is a consequence of something or use the plus symbol to indicate that the speaker is adding an idea. It is very important that you use symbols that make sense to you, that help you take notes faster, and that help you understand the key points. Therefore, make sure you use symbols you are familiar with because you must understand your notes when answering the questions.
