I get stuck a lot when I speak English, how can I improve this?

A lot of time we don’t realise how we are speaking. We speak way too fast most of the times. So why do this stupidity? Talking fast is not equivalent to fluency or good communication skills.

You also get stuck because of low confidence and fear of making mistakes.

Learning a language isn’t easy, and for many people the most challenging skill to master is listening. Trying to understand what people say can be difficult and even stressful sometimes, which is why it’s so important to spend time on your listening. Like any skill, the best way to improve listening comprehension is through regular practice.
This video give you an excellent way to practice listening in 3 steps:
- Step 1: Listen to the story at low speed so you can understand the story easier.
- Step 2: Learn vocabulary of the story.
- Step 3: Listen a seconds time at full speed. This time, you should listen and read along. The video has highlighted current reading word so you can read along easily.

None of the applicants met the qualifications for the job.
I once went for a job interview, and after interviewing me, the interviewer said I might not be suitable for the job I applied for. However, he thinks I am suitable for another job in another department. I left the office thinking it was just him trying to be nice, probably hinting that I was not what he was looking for. The next day, I got a call from the same company asking me to go for another interview in the same department but under a person in charge! Guess what? I got that job!

There was a chance of rain, so I brought my umbrella.
To me, Japan's TV news weather forecast is reliable and quite accurate. On the other hand, Singapore weather news reports are often not reliable. Therefore, we often don’t need to check the weather forecast. Nowadays, with smartphone weather apps, it’s a better alternative to checking the weather.
