18歳の時、Be動詞すら何なのかも知らない状態で偏差値38の学部を2つ受験し両方とも滑り一時露頭に迷う。

#見るだけで頭の中がグローバル化
英語トークのお題は「英語を話せるようになるメンタリティー」について。英語初心者の方で英語力の伸びに悩んでいる方、英語スピーキングで伸び悩んでいる方の参考になればと思い。ビデオの中でもお話ししましたが、私も皆さんのように日本生まれ、日本の「英語学習カルチャー」の中で育ちました。その中でのプレッシャーや、試験の点数ばかりに目をむける教育に、いつもはてな？を抱えていたんですね。
もちろん英語学習の目標は人それぞれ。試験のため、仕事のためなど、私がビデオで話した「コミュニケーションのため」だけに勉強をしている方が全てではないと思います。
でも、英語に正解や完璧ってないと思うんです。
実際に今海外で生活していて「本当に英語ができる」とは何なのか、昔と考えが変わりました。
